Hi, my name is Rocket. I’m a 2022 gelding, Welsh cross, 13.2hh pony. I came all the way from Alberta to meet you today! Did you hear about my friend Teddy? Yes, I’m his lifetime best friend. Upon arrival, I was very shut down, timid, and hungry. I tried to always ensure I ate all my friends’ food before eating mine so I could get double portions! I enjoyed being here with the food, water, shelter/stall, fan,…  but I wasn’t sure what would happen next. Will someone hurt me again? Maybe I won’t get breakfast in the morning, or even worse, maybe the scary people would take my friend away, as he was so weak. Slowly, with time, I came to understand these worries could be left behind. I could feel safe, loved, and cared for. I kept becoming stronger every day, and together with my friend, we started to be able to run and play! That is fun, fun, fun! Together with Floriane, I began to explore the world and find lots of joy in learning new things. Did you know I can fly a parachute? I’m caring, calm, honest, and very intelligent. Come get a hug from me. :) My favourite things are running waterhoses, food, and trails in endurance.
