Hi, my name is Legend. I was born in 2024, a colt, unknown breed, ……hh pony. I came all the way from Alberta to meet you today! At only 3 weeks old, my life turned upside down. I didn’t know what was happening, but I trusted my mom that she would keep me safe. I understood nothing and felt the most scared I have ever been. Captured in a shoot, put onto a truck, and brought to a new place far away. Upon arrival, my mom was very sick. She was very skinny, weak, tired, and hurt. A mild colic episode was diagnosed with severe DSLD, and she was possibly in foal again. I tried to stay by her side and get her up, but my efforts were hopeless, so I lay down beside her. A strange person did all sorts of things that made me want to run through the panels. I wanted my freedom and my mom to be healthy. Sadly, our vet’s efforts were minimal as both were fully unhandled. After great efforts for 48hrs, the vet, who also had a scary look, told us to be prepared to lay my mom to rest. I slowly began to understand that Floriane wanted to help me and was trying to gain my trust. Due to my weakness, I let her win and take care of me and my mom with great pride. I got to know another pony who was a BLM mustang who had gone through a similar situation and already had a foal in the wild. Goose and I became great friends, and she helped me gain my inner strength back. While Floriane took care of everything to arrange letting my mom go to heaven, I also saw her fighting with me to make her better. I tried to make my mom happy by comforting her and showing my playful moves. Sometimes miracles are real, and 2 weeks later, my mom blew everyone’s mind away and was slowly starting to move around with me without lameness, eating well and gaining weight. As I grew older, I started to learn all sorts and love to have the chance to play with all my friends in big fields while growing.  I can’t wait to play with kids who also seem very playful. I’m very kind, calm, and oh so trustworthy. I think people are the best thing on earth and would love to hang out with them all the time.
